8th Grade Students/Parents:
We will be taking up Blue & Gold order forms and money tomorrow and Thursday. Please have it all collected and turned in by then. If you have any questions because of quarantine, etc.; please contact one of the 8th grade teachers.

REMINDER: The 4th grade basketball games vs Dahlonegah are still on as scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday January 18th. The games will start at 9:00 tomorrow morning and will be at Dahlonegah. The girls will be the first game and boys will follow.

Parents/Guardians,
Maryetta School is following the latest CDC guidelines regarding returning to school after testing positive for COVID-19 or being quarantined. You must stay out of school for 5 days and can return on the 6th day if you have been symptom free for 24 hours AND can wear a mask for 5 days.
If your child has tested positive or been exposed over the long weekend, please email Mrs. Yell at cyell@maryetta.org with the following information and/or contact your students classroom teacher:
1. Student name, grade and teacher
2. date of your child's positive test
3. date symptoms started
4. date they were exposed to someone positive with COVID-19
5. list of other Maryetta students in the household
CDC recommends wearing masks, washing hands often and social distancing when possible to control the spread of COVID-19.
Maryetta will be highly recommending all students and staff wear masks this next week. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Parents: If you received a P-EBT card last year, call the number on the back to check your balance. You may have more funds available now!

Dear Parents,
Maryetta Public School will be shifting to distance learning tomorrow, January 14. This will allow staff time to deep clean and sanitize the building.
The safety and well-being of students and employees is our top priority and we currently have too many staff members absent due to COVID-19, the flu, or other illnesses to provide instruction in a safe manner.
Remember school is closed on Monday, January 17th for MLK holiday.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at school healthy and ready to learn on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022.
Thank you,
Ms. Lori Means
Superintendent

Maryetta Parents,
As you know COVID cases are climbing in the state and the
county. Our approach is to follow CDC guidelines and keep kids in school as long as we have the staff available to safely supervise.
As a reminder, our district has put into place mitigation plans and procedures like educational pods, sanitizing stations, air purifiers, class quarantines and the recommendations of mask wearing, these are in place for everyone’s safety and will be highly utilized this week and into the future.
We currently have a number of staff out due to illness so the decision to keep our schools open or go to distance-learning may have to be made soon.
No decisions have been made at this time but it is a possibility if available staffing numbers continue to decline.
Thank you,
Lori Means, Superintendent
Maryetta Public School
